My themes of the year 2016 – #mythemesoftheyear

Hello everyone,

Today I am sharing with you what comprised my year 2016. Why I am sharing it? You would know by the end of the post.

And trust me, you would not look out to hunt me down for wasting your time ;) :P I have been brief and I think am making some sense too.

So here it goes…

Even though the sunset is at 9 pm these days, the time seems to fly. It is because we in southern hemisphere have the time of our life in December. It is summers. It brings more of all good things. Sun shines on us more. Flowers bloom more. Birds chirp more. And we are out there whole day long on beaches and partying in city parks with friends and families. It is celebrations everywhere.

So, anticipating extremely busy days ahead :) I am putting up this post right away. This post contains the themes of my life and my gratitude towards the year 2016.

This year has been an amazing year. I did things which I never thought I would do… rather I could do or let’s say I needed to do. I am talking about yoga. So, yes, I took to yoga. And it is so liberating that now whoever I meet, I fill them up to practice yoga. I want the benefits to reach everyone. Let me know if you want to know what exactly I do. Though I will do a write up for this soon.

Apart from yoga, the second theme of my life for first half of the year (and extending a bit until September for editing) was writing... writing… and more of writing. I completed two manuscripts. More than one lakhs (hundred thousand) words I would have done. Sounds good? But it drew day lights out of me. So much self-discipline and so lonely. Yoga kept me going though. So, these two books are certainly reaching you all soon. Will share the names and backdrop of these two in my next post.

The second half of the year turned out to be totally action packed. I was out there. I visited India, there were celebrations with family, lots of travel and road trips. Felt blessed. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Travels are interlaced in the fabric of my life very intricately. There was a time I changed locations (if countries sometimes then states within India) every two years. I don’t make any efforts. It just happens. I wish to write about it someday. I have learnt so much from my travels.

Talking about roadtrips from recent years, last year, Oct 2015 we went to Konark Sun temple, Lord Jagannath temple and Satpada dolphin watching. Then in June 2016, we went to Hobbiton in New Zealand. Read about it on my blog if you too are a Hobbiton fan.

Then in India, Nov 2016, which is just a month before, went to Vrindavan, Nidhi Van and Taj Mahal, Agra. Also, did a road trip to Chitrkoot falls. It is called Niagara Falls of India. Did you know we have it right there in the heart of our country? Yes, it’s in Chattisgarh.

This year in India, I covered 2000 km of road distance. Sapan calculated for himself. I am just using the figure. Wicked smile. His distance is a bit more also. Okay few hundreds more. Anyway ;)

So… Yoga. Walking. Writing. Traveling. These were my themes of my year 2016. And they have transformed me into a whole new person. I now know a bit more how to live life. Take on any these themes and see your life transform. I promise, you will be amazed as you unleash yourself.

I hope you liked my post. Will soon post pictures and more write-ups about yoga, Christmas celebrations and travels.

What were your themes? Really looking forward to know. I would like to make them my themes for the year 2017.

Share your themes of life and hashtag it #themesofmylife. Happy holiday season. Happy New Year 2017. Wish you cheers and celebrations. Much love.
