For.... International Knowledge Day and Our Father’s birthday – 1 of September
Read on...

Parents are our first teachers in life. They bless us with the abundant knowledge they accumulate in their life. And what a beautiful wonder to marvel that the International Knowledge Day is celebrated with our father Dr. J S Updhyaya’s birthday. Happy birthday Papa :)

God also knew that you deserved to be in the noblest profession where you imparted knowledge and touched the lives of many thousands. And we were fortunate to be born as your children.

You taught us, yet you never controlled us… you gave us the vision to dream but never asked us to go in a specific direction… you challenged us but never questioned us… You set us free. Such deep was your understanding in imparting life lessons.

You were, you are and you will be happiest and most content person. Many join me in saying this. You greeted everyone with such a big smile and enthusiasm that we today also get messages and hear from so many that their problems disappeared when they came near you. Such was the power of your aura.

We say this, not because you are our father but we echo what everyone whose life you touched also says… It is very rare that souls like you walk the earth and we are blessed and fortunate that we got an opportunity to walk with you.

I have tears in my eyes as I write this but I wish that the messages you as a father had for Sid as your son and me as your daughter must reach everywhere and to everyone.

Message from our father that he had for us and that he wished the same to reach all the children.

Sharing on his behalf...

Highly creative, he used power of his ideas to reach us. Under the glass top of our study table there were often surprise messages for us from our father.

For me: I once found a picture where a father was holding his daughter on his shoulder and above it was written ‘My daughter, my pride. She will shine one day.’ My father had placed it for me.

For Sid: There was a picture, where a small boy was standing in green grass and looking at the aeroplane in vast blue sky and it had written over it ‘My small boy will never lose sight of his goal.’

To immortalize our father’s abundant love for all the children, we have included his life lessons in our book My Fantastic Failures. Grateful to god and our parents, we could do this.

Dear papa, on your birthday, we wish to thank you for the honor to be known as your children. We feel truly blessed. The priceless moments we shared with you are still livid in our eyes and they are strong enough that we will live through this lifetime enveloped in the warmth of your love and blessings. When we go weak at times, mummy holds us up and reminds us that parents never go anywhere, they are around their children always.

As we again wish you a very happy birthday papa, we also on your behalf are sharing your message with everyone.

Here it goes...

The most important goal in our life should be to be happy and content. For if you are happy then only you will be able to spread happiness and bring smile in the lives of others.
